Peyton Michelle (b. 2000) is a painter from Athens, Georgia. She holds an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. During her time at the SMFA, she received the Montague Travel Grant and the Dean’s Research Fund. She earned her BFA in Drawing and Painting as a First Honor Graduate from the University of Georgia. While studying at UGA, she completed work with Color the World Bright, a student led mural team working throughout the southeast. Peyton has recently shown work in the 2025 MFA Thesis Show at Tufts University Art Gallery, as well as at Halsey McKay Gallery in Graham Collins’ show Worker’s Playtime, and in I Want to be Soft and Lovely, a self-curated solo show through SMFA.
